James Gunn’s ‘Superman: Legacy’ Receives Exciting New Update

While updates on James Gunn’s ‘Superman: Legacy’ have slowed since filming wrapped over a month ago, an exciting reveal recently came from a surprising source. During an episode of the ‘Capes and Lunatics’ podcast, renowned DC comic writer Mark Waid shared that Krypto, the super-powered dog, will appear in the highly anticipated 2025 DCU film.

Waid, known for his work on ‘Batman/Superman: World’s Finest’ and the iconic ‘Kingdom Come’ series, praised Gunn’s approach to storytelling, revealing that Krypto will be a part of the upcoming movie. He humorously noted, “The movie has a dog in it, a superpowered dog with heat vision.”

His knack for turning unlikely characters into beloved family units bodes well for the upcoming film.

‘Superman: Legacy’ boasts an impressive cast, with David Corenswet taking on the role of Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult playing Lex Luthor. Other notable additions include Milly Alcock as Supergirl, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, and Wendell Pierce as Perry White.
