Jason Statham Smashes Through Obstacles in Action-Packed New 'Working Man'

The last trailer for Jason Statham's new movie, ‘A Working Man’, which opens in theatres on 28th March, shows him getting ready for action.  In their most recent endeavour, Statham teams up with ‘The Beekeeper’ filmmaker David Ayer for an action-packed film based on Chuck Dixon's 2014 book ‘Levon's Trade’.  Jason Flemyng of ‘Lock, Stock’, and ‘Two Smoking Barrels’, Michael Peña from ‘End of Watch’, David Harbour from ‘Stranger Things’, and Emmett J. Scanlan from ‘Peaky Blinders’ join Statham.  The week begins on an exhilarating note thanks to the teaser.

Levon, Statham's new action hero, is introduced in the teaser. He is a former Royal Marines commander who chose a more sedate job in construction over military missions.  Levon shares that his boss's daughter has disappeared and that he is determined to save her from human traffickers when he sits down for a drink with his old friend Gunny (played by a practically unrecognizable Harbour).  As soon as Gunny tells him to "go all in," the clip depicts Levon doing just that, eliminating everybody who is in his path.

‘A Working Man’ also brings together those who have worked together in the past.   In addition to bringing Statham and Ayer back together with ‘The Beekeeper’, the movie also features actors from Ayer's earlier roles, such as Peña from ‘End of Watch’.  While co-writer Sylvester Stallone marks yet another reunion with Statham from ‘The Expendables’ series, Flemyng contributes to the mix by connecting with ‘Kick-Ass’.

Fans of Statham can anticipate more in the future.  Timo Tjahjanto, the director of ‘Nobody 2’, is in charge of developing a follow-up to ‘The Beekeeper’.  Statham will also co-star with Jason Wong and Annabelle Wallis in Jean-François Richet's action thriller ‘Mutiny’ in 2026.
