Jay-Z Champions Kendrick Lamar as the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Headliner

Jay-Z has expressed his strong support for Kendrick Lamar, who has been announced as the headline performer for the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime show. 

On 8^th September, the NFL revealed Kendrick Lamar as the headliner for next year's Super Bowl Halftime show. Jay-Z, who serves as the NFL's music strategist through Roc Nation's partnership with the league, shared his thoughts on Kendrick's selection.

Jay-Z said that Kendrick Lamar is a truly exceptional artist and performer of this generation. His profound passion for hip-hop and culture shapes his artistic vision. He has an unmatched ability to impact and shape culture worldwide. Kendrick’s influence extends beyond music and will resonate for years to come.

The Super Bowl for this NFL season will be held at the Caesars Superdome in Louisiana. Lamar previously appeared at the Halftime show as a guest during Dr. Dre’s 2022 all-star performance, which also featured Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Eminem and 50 Cent.

Kendrick Lamar said in yesterday’s announcement video: “What you doing everybody? My name’s Kendrick Lamar, and I’ll be performing at Super Bowl LIX. Will you be pulling up? I hope so! You know there’s only one opportunity to win the championship, no round twos. Let’s get it!”

“I don’t want you to miss it. Meet me in New Orleans, February 9, 2025. Wear your best dress too, even if you’re watching from home. Let’s go.”
