Jay-Z Has Invested in a Start-up That Will Deliver Pizzas Cooked by a Robot

A new start-up that claims to deliver pizzas cooked by robots has received funding from Jay-Z’s venture capital firm. With $16.5 million (£14.4 million) raised in a round led by Stellar Pizza, Marcy Venture Partners, the lead investor, joined the company’s roster alongside Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty.

Orders would be placed through an app and relayed to the pizza-making robot. The pizza is subsequently cut and boxed by a human worker in preparation for delivery. The goal of Stellar Pizza is to finish the entire task in under five minutes.

The first robot pizza truck will make its debut at the University of California this year. It was created by former SpaceX engineers, including CEO Benson Tsai.

“Ultimately, for me, it’s about solving problems wherever they are – solving problems here on Earth,” Tsai told Inside Edition earlier this year. “Affordable access to high-quality fresh foods is not something that is readily available for everyone.”

Last month, Jay-Z retaliated against those who had criticised his business endeavours in the past. It happened during a Twitter Spaces event to promote his most recent song with DJ Khaled, ‘God Did.’

Rihanna, Jay-Z and Ye all made their debuts on Forbes’ billionaire list, earlier this year.
