Since Jay-Z is arguably is one of the best rappers out there, it only makes sense that he keeps his ear to the streets and with the end of 2019 fast approaching, he has returned to reveal his favorite tracks from throughout the year.

A new TIDAL 40-track playlist with Jay-Z’s Year End Picks 2019 contains his favorite songs of the year and has quite the range of rap and hip-hop numbers that have dropped recently.

Jay’s selections included cuts like Kanye West’s ‘Follow God,’ Russ and Bia’s ‘Best on Earth,’ Tyler, The Creator’s ‘EARFQUAKE,’ DaBaby’s ‘SUGE,’ and Jhené Aiko’s ‘Triggered.’ Even his iconic wife, Beyoncé, appears here with ‘Already’ which features Shatta Wale and Major Lazer.

The rest of the star-studded playlist saw contributions from Drake, Young Thug, J. Cole, Freddie Gibbs and Madlib, Summer Walker, Roddy Ricch, Lil Tjay, Rick Ross, Maxo Kream, Travis Scott, Rod Wave, Solange, Lil Baby, Burna Boy, Pop Smoke, Denzel Curry, and more.

Jay-Z’s list is vast and varied. With picks from established industry vets and newcomers across rap, reggae, R&B, and afrobeat genres, Jay-Z shows that he’s always listening, irrespective of his mysterious aura since he’s rarely in the public’s eye. We can’t even imagine just how good his ‘Best of the Decade’ list would be, if he ever plans on dropping that!
