Jeff Goldblum Uncertain About Returning to ‘Jurassic Park’ Role

Jeff Goldblum may be stepping away from his iconic Jurassic Park role as Ian Malcolm. In a recent interview, the actor hinted that his time in the franchise could be over, saying, “I think Ian Malcolm may have ridden off into the sunset.”

Goldblum, known for his portrayal of the witty mathematician in six Jurassic films, including the original 1993 classic and the more recent ‘Jurassic World Dominion’, remains uncertain about returning for future instalments. When asked if he would reprise the role, he simply said, “Maybe.”

The next film in the franchise, ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’, is set to continue the saga, but Goldblum seems content with passing the torch to a new generation of stars.

“This next one, my friend Scarlett Johansson and my new friend Jonathan Bailey, I think, are taking up the reins. I can’t wait to see what they do,” he added.

Directed by Gareth Edwards and written by David Koepp, ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ will feature an impressive cast, including Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, and more.

With its release on the horizon, fans are eager to see how the franchise evolves without Goldblum’s iconic character.

Koepp, who penned the original ‘Jurassic Park’ and its sequel, ‘The Lost World’, brings his expertise back for ‘Rebirth’, which is set five years after the events of ‘Jurassic World Dominion’. While Goldblum’s future with the dinosaurs is uncertain, excitement for the next chapter continues to build.
