Jenna Ortega Reveals Which Role Lady Gaga Would Perfectly Fit in ‘Wednesday’ Season 2

After Lady Gaga impressed us with her acting skills, it’s only natural to imagine her in more iconic roles. Jenna Ortega is on the same page and once shared her thoughts on a perfect role for Gaga in the ‘Wednesday’ series.

In a 2023 interview with Variety at the Golden Globes, Ortega discussed how Lady Gaga would fit into a potential role in ‘Wednesday’ Season 2. She described a unique dynamic between Mrs Thornhill and Wednesday, suggesting that Gaga could embody a character who has a deep, mutual understanding with Wednesday. Ortega envisioned Gaga and another character as “two monsters that understand each other.”

At that time, Ortega also made waves with her viral dance to Gaga’s ‘Bloody Mary,’ which became a popular trend on social media. 

She confirmed that Netflix was assembling a writers’ room for the new season. Ortega mentioned a past professional connection with Gaga through a hairdresser and recalled a special moment when Gaga sent her a personal video after a concert in Boston, though Ortega initially questioned if Gaga knew who she was.

Since then, Ortega has continued to make a name for herself by taking unconventional roles in projects like ‘Scream VI’ and ‘Millers Girl’. Her career is gaining recognition, and she’s looking forward to her upcoming film, ‘Beetlejuice’, set to release on 6th September 2024. The film boasts an impressive cast, including Winona Ryder, Michael Keaton, Willem Dafoe, Catherine O’Hara, Monica Bellucci, and Justin Theroux, among others.
