Jennie From BlackPink Teased a Song Collab With The Weeknd

Jennie is not only going to be a part of The Weeknd’s upcoming HBO show, ‘The Idol’ but she also might be a part of another project with the singer. Fans believe Jennie, while playing DJ at a recent event honouring her partnership with Calvin Klein, previewed a sultry new duet with the Weeknd.

Jennie, in a purple dress, was seen manning the sound system at the fashion celebration in Seoul with twin sisters/DJ duo, Simi and Haze Khadra. The trio danced to the track which featured two voices that the fans thought sounded like Jennie Kim and Abel Tesfaye.

Jennie also reposted the video on her Instagram story and tagged The Weeknd and The Idol’s official Instagram pages. This seems like a confirmation about the collaboration for the show’s soundtrack. The Khadra sisters also shared the video and tagged The Weeknd, ‘The Idol’ and Jennie.

“Am i dreamin? We got Jennie x the weekend, this is so cool,” one fan wrote in the comments. “jennie x the weeknd??? OH HELL,” wrote another fan.

As of now, only one song from ‘The Idol’ soundtrack has been released. The Weeknd and Future dropped the lead single ‘Double Fantasy’ right after the singer debuted the track live during Metro Boomin’s Coachella performance last month. ‘The Idol’ is created by The Weeknd and Sam Levison, where Tesfaye is a nightclub owner/cult leader who takes over the career of Jocelyn, played by Lily-Rose Depp. Jennie’s supporting role is not revealed yet, but she is all over the show’s trailer.
