Jennifer Lopez Calls 'Unstoppable' Role ‘One of the Great Honours of My Life’

Jennifer Lopez is beaming with pride over her latest film project!

The singer and actress, 55, shared memorable moments from the premiere of her film ‘Unstoppable’ at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on Instagram. She posted a photo of herself glowing in a stunning silver Tamara Ralph dress, joined onstage by others from the film, including Judy Robles, the mother of the real-life figure Lopez portrays, Anthony Robles. The image also featured Anthony, along with cast members Bobby Cannavale, Don Cheadle, and Jharrel Jerome.

Lopez also shared two videos capturing the enthusiastic standing ovation the film received at TIFF. In her caption, she expressed her excitement for audiences to see the film and described the premiere as "one of the most magical nights" she has experienced with a film. She reflected on the significance of her role, saying, "Besides playing Selena, playing Judy Robles and bringing her and her struggles and triumphs with her amazing son, Anthony Robles, to life, was one of the great honours of my life."

‘Unstoppable’ tells the inspiring story of wrestler Anthony Robles, who, born with one leg, won an NCAA national championship in 2011 for Arizona State University. Lopez praised the film as "inspiring, uplifting, exciting, and emotional," and noted that it’s a perfect family movie for the holiday season. She encouraged fans to see it with their families when it releases on December 6, calling it a "gift" to share the story of the remarkable Robles family.

The day after the premiere, Lopez attended the Road to the Golden Globes party at the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, wearing a semi-sheer pink ruffled Chloé dress with matching boots, and her long brown hair styled down.

This event marked Lopez’s first major public appearance since news broke of her filing for divorce from Ben Affleck in August, following two years of marriage. ‘Unstoppable’, produced by Affleck and Matt Damon's company Artists Equity, will hit select theatres in December.
