Jennifer Lopez Plays an Assassin Protecting Her Daughter in The First Teaser For ‘The Mother’

In the first teaser for ‘The Mother’, Jennifer Lopez exhibits a distinctive parenting approach.

In the film ‘The Mother’, which also stars Joseph Fiennes, Lucy Paez, Omari Hardwick, Paul Raci and Gael Garcia Bernal, Lopez portrays an assassin who emerges from hiding, to defend her daughter she abandoned years ago. 

The teaser opens with Lopez’s character residing in a secluded cabin and then progresses to highlight the many locations the movie will cover. Director Niki Caro, who most recently oversaw Disney’s live-action remake of Mulan, is the man behind ‘The Mother’. Misha Green’s story served as the basis for the screenplay written by Andrea Berloff, Peter Craig and Misha Green.

‘The Mother’ is scheduled for release in May 2023, and the first teaser was released as part of ‘Tudum’, an online fan event put on by OTT to advertise its future line-up of motion pictures and television programmes.
