Jennifer Lopez Set to Drop a Brand-New Solo Album After a Nine-Year Hiatus

Jennifer Lopez has just sealed a brand-new music deal with BMG! J.Lo, the renowned singer and actress, is set to drop her highly anticipated ninth studio album, ‘This Is Me…Now,’ featuring 13 tracks, all thanks to this global collaboration with Nuyorican/BMG.
This exciting release marks Jennifer Lopez’s triumphant return to the solo music scene after a nine-year hiatus since her 2014 album, ‘A.K.A.,’ which soared to No. 8 on the Billboard 200 chart. Not to forget her electrifying 2022 soundtrack release with Maluma for their film ‘Marry Me,’ which was brought to fans through Universal Studios/Sony Music US Latin.
“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with her and her team to release her first album in nearly a decade,” said Thomas Coesfeld, BMG’s CEO in a statement, calling Lopez a “global superstar artist, entertainer… a phenomenon.”
Thomas Scherer, BMG’s president, repertoire & marketing, Los Angeles and New York, added: “We are both excited and proud to partner with Jennifer Lopez on this long-awaited sequel to ‘This is Me… Then.’ Clearly written with love and through experience, ‘This Is Me..Now’ is uplifting and inspiring. ‘Jenny From The Block’ is back at a point in her career when her message is bigger than ever.”
Jennifer Lopez, along with a star-studded team of music maestros like Rogét Chahayed, Angel Lopez, and Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman, took the creative reins to cook up ‘This Is Me…Now’. This musical gem was crafted right at J.Lo’s home studio in the heart of Los Angeles during the musical journey of 2022 and 2023.
And that’s not all; the album received an extra dose of coolness from other top-tier songwriter-producers, including the likes of Hitboy, Ink, Tay Keith, Yeti Beats, Carter Lang, and the incredibly talented Kim ‘Kaydence’ Krysiuk. To top it all off, BMG’s Brandon Riester stepped in as the album’s A&R, making sure every note and beat hit the mark. It’s safe to say that this musical collaboration is set to make waves!
According to the press statement, the upcoming set “is an exciting musical trilogy showcasing the triple-threat’s extraordinary talents.”
