Jennifer Lopez to Host 2025 American Music Awards— A Decade After Her Iconic 2015 Gig

Ten years after hosting the American Music Awards in 2015, Jennifer Lopez is scheduled to return as host in 2025.

Recently, it was confirmed that Lopez would once again be the star of a renowned awards event.  Dick Clark Productions CEO Jay Penske was thrilled to see her again and praised her extraordinary talent and stage presence.  He pointed out that her enthusiasm would create a memorable performance.

When Lopez hosted the AMAs for the first time in 2015, she opened with a lively dance medley that included some of the year’s best singles.  She remembered watching the ceremony as a kid and how amazing it felt to be a part of its tradition as she reflected on the awards’ 50th anniversary in 2024.

She made her stage debut in 2001, marking the beginning of her AMA career. Since then, she has performed more than ten times.  She also talked about how she won the 2011 Favorite Latin Artist Award, saying that fan-voted honors are particularly significant because they are given by the people she performs for.

In a previous interview, Lopez alluded to a possible comeback to hosting by recollecting how she changed clothes several times throughout the 2015 performance and wanted the audience to experience the joy and excitement of the evening.
