Jimin Brings ‘Christmas Love’ For The Army
The BTS boy band member Jimin has surprised the ‘ARMY’ with a new joyful holiday solo called “Christmas Love” on the eve of Christmas.
The merry track opens to the jingle of sleigh bells that precede the instrumental music. Jimin follows this music to express his love for the very merry holiday season, as the chorus goes “Christmas I love you/ You’re the one.”
With the lyrics, “Oh I been waitin’ for this Christmas Day/ My heart is already on this white street/ Last night, snow fell in my dreams/ You waited all day in the blanket.” The first verse starts off with a homage to the season. The official blog of BTS describes the origins of the single that involves fellow bandmate RM and Slow Rabbit who Jimin has produced his track.
Jimin’s Love And Nostalgia For The Season Is All Of Us
Jimin writes, “Did you get a good Christmas present? I really wanted to hear from you, but fortunately, I am very, very happy to be able to do so. The reason I came here today is the reason why I suddenly heard this bright song in such a difficult situation, I came here because I wanted to tell you a little about the reason. As you know from the song… This song is a scene where my favourite snow falls out of my childhood memories. I sing with my feelings when I first saw them.
With the lyrics, “As we grow up, it seems that we miss our childhood a lot,” Jimin reminisces strongly.
“Whether that’s the situation now or not, I thought I wanted to go back to that time. A sense of responsibility for something as you grow. That responsibility makes us mature. I thought that it might make us hide our emotions a little. But I still think we have those feelings. So it’s childish at least once, but how about expressing that feeling? I thought it would be nice if that day would be today.” Jimin continues.
He Reminds Us Why We Love Him
The tune ends with a note to the ARMY as Jimin says everyone is “worthy of love”. He hopes everyone can enjoy the song together as he ended with “I hoped that all of you would be happy people and made it hard with one wish. I hope that I can go back to the old days that you remember a little bit after listening to the song.”
