Joe Alwyn Debuts on ‘Late-Night with Seth Meyers’

Recently,  Joe Alwyn celebrated a major career milestone by appearing on ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’ for the first time on a late-night talk show. The actor, 33, was there to promote ‘The Brutalist’, his most recent movie.

‘The Brutalist’, directed by Brady Corbet, is about Adrien Brody’s character, Hungarian Jewish architect László Tót, who survives the Holocaust and relocates to America to start over. When he is hired for a project by a wealthy family headed by Guy Pearce’s character, entrepreneur Harrison Lee Van Buren, trouble starts. Alwyn plays Harry Lee Van Buren, the spoiled and unruly son of the family.

Alwyn provided Meyers with some insight into Harry’s personality during their conversation, characterizing him as slick, entitled, dangerous, and having serious father issues. He made a joke about how this role came to him easily, which made the audience laugh.

Alwyn’s first late-night performance was noted by Meyers, who also inquired about his emotional state. In a funny response, Alwyn said he felt “awful,” but he soon explained that he was kidding, which caused the audience to laugh again.

Fans reacted well to his debut and expressed their excitement online, despite any evident nervousness. After his role in ‘Kinds of Kindness’, which was released in June 2024, Alwyn’s portfolio continues to expand with The Brutalist.

Alwyn has been concentrating on his career since splitting from Taylor Swift in 2023 following a six-year romance. According to a source, he is doing well and has been alternating between London and New York City. Alwyn talked candidly about dealing with celebrity in a recent interview with The Guardian. He clarified that he tunes out outside noise and concentrates on the things that are most important to him, which include his friends, family, and career. He claimed that it would be harmful to his well-being to allow outside scrutiny to have an impact on him.
