Joe Jonas has become the latest artist to remove any reference to Sean "Diddy" Combs from his performances. During a recent Jonas Brothers concert at LDLC Arena in Paris, Jonas performed his popular DNCE track ‘Cake by the Ocean’, but noticeably altered a key lyric that originally referenced Diddy. This change follows in the footsteps of other artists who have distanced themselves from the hip-hop mogul amidst increasing allegations against him.
Jonas isn't the only musician making adjustments. Kesha, whose breakout single ‘TiK ToK’ famously opens with the line, "Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy," also made a similar change earlier this year.

While performing at Coachella with Reneé Rapp, Kesha altered the lyric to "Wake up in the morning feeling like, f--- P. Diddy." The change was later confirmed as permanent, with Kesha explaining how the lyric shift reflected her evolving relationship with the song and her desire to maintain her sense of joy despite personal and legal struggles.
In an emotional post, Kesha elaborated on the importance of "TiK ToK" in her career, noting that it was her first single and represented fun and happiness.

She expressed pride in how the song continues to evoke these emotions for her and her fans, despite everything she has faced. She vowed to re-record the track when legal rights allow, ensuring it stands for her fierce protection of joy.
At the Paris concert, fan footage captured Jonas singing an altered version of the lyric, replacing "I'll be Diddy, you'll be Naomi" with "I'll be watching you be Naomi." This lyric originally referenced Diddy's alleged past relationship with supermodel Naomi Campbell, but Jonas' change reflects a growing trend in the music industry to distance from the embattled mogul.
