John Cena and Awkwafina Battle for Survival and Fortune in New ‘Jackpot!’ Images 

The excitement for Paul Feig’s upcoming action-comedy ‘Jackpot!’ has intensified with the release of exclusive images, brought to you by Collider. Starring John Cena and Awkwafina, this film is shaping up to be one of those high-concept projects that perfectly aligns with what audiences are craving today. The newly released images showcase Cena and Awkwafina immersed in the action, offering a glimpse of the chaotic and comedic energy that ‘Jackpot!’ promises to deliver.

Directed by Feig, the movie is set in a dystopian near-future California, where a “Grand Lottery” offers a massive jackpot. But there’s a sinister twist: anyone with a losing ticket can legally kill the winner before sundown to claim the prize.

Cena stars as Noel Cassidy, a tough yet quirky lottery protection agent, who is shown navigating intense, high-stakes situations. Awkwafina, playing the lottery-winning actress Katie, looks understandably frazzled as she suddenly finds herself with a massive target on her back. The film also stars Seann William Scott and Simu Liu, reuniting with Awkwafina after their memorable performance in ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’.

In an interview with Collider’s Steve Weintraub, Feig shared that this film is the kind he’d always wanted to make for Jackie Chan. Given Cena’s background in professional wrestling, he was the perfect choice for the lead role. Feig praised Cena’s expertise in choreographing action, highlighting the actor’s precision and convincing performances.

The film’s stunt coordinator, James Young, known for his work on Marvel movies like ‘Captain America’, was thrilled to work on a project that blends comedic elements with action. Feig, a self-proclaimed Jackie Chan fanatic, expressed his excitement about making a film that balances real action with humor, finally fulfilling his dream of creating a Chan-inspired movie.
