John Krasinski Reveals He Knew Emily Blunt Was ‘The One’ Instantly He Met Her

PEOPLE’s 2024 Sexiest Man Alive, John Krasinski, remembers the precise moment he realized Emily Blunt was “the one.” He initially met her across a diner, and as soon as they shook hands, he sensed a connection.

The couple, who are currently raising two girls in Brooklyn—Hazel, 10, and Violet, 8—are careful to balance their work schedules so that one parent is always there for their kids. According to Krasinski, this strategy keeps them centred, particularly given the rigours of travel. Even when they travel the world for work, they are able to maintain a close relationship with their children because of a network of friends and relatives that support them.

For Krasinski, who co-wrote, directed, and appeared with Blunt in the 2018 film ‘A Quiet Place’, the couple’s professional partnership was another significant event. Both acknowledged that they were anxious before the endeavour, despite the fact that it was exhilarating. They both felt vulnerable before production, but Blunt’s direct question, “Are you scared?” helped reduce his nervousness.
