John Legend And Chrissy Teigen’s Surrogate After Giving Birth: “It Was Truly an Honour”

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s surrogate, Alexandra, is speaking out after the famous couple revealed that she helped them conceive their fourth child.

Alexandra responded to the cookbook author’s surprise post announcing the arrival of the newborn boy with, “Thank you for choosing me. For making this whole experience so wonderful. For loving me and my family whole heartedly. It was truly an honour bringing perfect Wren into the world with you right by my side.”

Teigen raved about how fantastic it was to meet and share this experience with Alexandra, whose last name she did not reveal in her announcement post. The model shared that she and Legend met Alexandra when Teigen was pregnant with daughter Esti, who was born in January.

“We … met the most incredible, loving, compassionate surrogate we could ever imagine, Alexandra. I knew she was a perfect match for us the moment we spoke to her,” the TV personality stated. “All our wishes and dreams aligned. I wanted to be her friend, I wanted our children to play, I wanted dinner together, I wanted to lay my head on her belly and be able to feel the hiccups and kicks. I wanted them to be in our lives for as long as time would allow.” (A picture of Teigen kissing Alexandra’s exposed baby bump was posted with the article.)

Teigen also commended Alexandra for “how much she gave up of her own body,” for enduring the “mental toll” of the IVF procedure and for other things. She added that they celebrated together by eating hot pot and watching Vanderpump Rules with their swelling bellies after finding out their surrogate was expecting. They were happy with how their families were coming together.

The Cravings founder concluded her statement by expressing gratitude to Alexandra for the “incredible gift” of her baby son, who fulfilled her childhood wish to have four children. According to Teigen, the baby boy arrived “minutes before midnight on January 19th,” and as for the baby’s name, the parents chose Wren Alexander Stephens so that it would be “forever connected to” their surrogate.

The couple is also parents to daughter, Luna and son, Miles.
