In a recent episode of ‘The Daily Show’, Jon Stewart provided a humorous take on Sebastian Stan’s portrayal of former President Donald Trump in the upcoming film ‘The Apprentice’. This film, which is not related to Trump’s reality TV series, has ignited controversy, with a spokesperson for the Trump campaign labelling it as election interference.
However, Stewart opted for a more lighthearted approach, suggesting that Trump should feel flattered by Stan’s representation. Stewart mockingly questioned the claims of election interference, stating, “That’s election interference?” His tone implied scepticism about the seriousness of such accusations. He further remarked, “It’s not; maybe it’s election interference.

But you gotta be a little bit flattered that you’re being played by Sebastian Stan.” This humorous perspective hints that Trump’s image might benefit from the association with a well-known actor like Stan.
The segment also allowed Stewart to address Trump’s recent connections with figures like Elon Musk. At a rally, Musk expressed support for Trump, claiming, “The other side wants to take away your freedom of speech.”
In his usual comedic style, Stewart poked fun at Musk’s enthusiastic presence at the rally, quipping, “I don’t see how [Trump’s] support of free speech is expose-the-belly worthy,” showcasing his doubts about Musk’s commitment to free speech while endorsing a candidate who has pursued legal actions against dissenters.
Interestingly, Stewart found some common ground with the Trump campaign regarding a report on Amazon’s Alexa. The report indicated that Alexa tends to avoid giving reasons to vote for Trump while showing stronger support for Vice President Kamala Harris. Stewart acknowledged this issue, saying, “OK, I’ll give you that one. That’s f—ed up!” This blend of humour and critique highlights Stewart’s knack for addressing serious topics with wit.
