Juice WRLD Conquers Sub Genre Charts; Is Unstoppable

Juice WRLD continues to reign supreme

If you weren’t already convinced that Juice WRLD is a force to be reckoned with, this is sure to do the trick. The late rapper’s posthumous album, “Legends Never Die”, has conquered sub genre charts, too.

Earlier today, the rapper’s track ‘Come & Go’, featuring Marshmello, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Rock and Alternative Songs charts. The news follows another impressive feat accomplished by Juice WRLD earlier this week – bagging No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

A Look at ‘Come & Go’

‘Come & Go’ is a track of deep introspection and lamentation set to a surprising pop-rock groove. Juice WRLD and Marshmello, create a slick sound reminiscent of the early 2010s with music from 3OH!3 and Fall Out Boy. Complete with electronic percussion and distorted guitar hooks, the project allows both Juice and Marshmello to explore new avenues in music.

Lyricism in ‘Come & Go’ offers up the kind of unapologetic vulnerability that is the signature of Juice WRLD’s writing. Fresh sound aside, the lines he begins the track with are enough to pull you in: “I try to be everything that I can/ But sometimes I come out as being nothin’/ I pray to god that he make me a better man, uh/ Maybe one day I’ma stand for something”.

Juice WRLD’s Sweep of the Charts

The hot debut of ‘Come & Go’ follows Juice WRLD’s mega sweep of the Billboard 200 chart. Debuting at No. 1 with the biggest sales week of any album in 2020, “Legends Never Die” has also managed to cross 400 million streams in its debut week. Joining a league of record-makers and high-sellers, his first posthumous release has proved the power of his writing.
