‘Jurassic World: Rebirth’ Trailer: Scarlett Johansson Battles Deadliest Dinosaurs

Universal Pictures' last trailer for ‘Jurassic World: Rebirth’ sets the tone for an exciting summer film. The eagerly awaited movie, which opens in theatres on 2nd July, is a daring new chapter in the well-known dinosaur narrative, and this time, the ancient predators are more terrifying than ever.

Scarlett Johansson plays Zora Bennett in the teaser, a tactical operations specialist who takes her elite team into perilous situations.  Zora visits a secluded tropical island that was formerly home to InGen's initial dinosaur research lab with co-stars Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali.  It becomes evident upon their arrival that this assignment is anything but routine.

Zora warns the team in the frightening video that only the deadliest dinosaurs survived previous tests, preparing them for high-stakes encounters with the "worst of the worst."  Bailey's character, Dr. Henry Loomis, considers his poor chances of surviving while the protagonists struggle with their grave circumstances.  Ever the resolute commander, Zora implies that their greatest strength is making it impossible to survive.

Jurassic World: Rebirth, which takes place five years after the events of ‘Jurassic World Dominion’, follows Zora and her group as they go on a clandestine expedition to extract genetic material from the three greatest dinosaurs on the planet.  But following a vicious underwater dinosaur assault, their operation swiftly clashes with a civilian boating family whose excursion goes astray.  Both groups discover a terrible secret that has been kept hidden from the world for decades while stranded on the same island.

Gareth Edwards, who has directed ‘Godzilla’, ‘The Creator’, and ‘Rogue One’, is the film's director.  Edwards acknowledged that he had intended to retire from directing when the option presented itself, but he was unable to turn down the chance to work on what he views as one of the greatest film franchises.

Jurassic World: Rebirth screenplay, written by David Koepp, the original director of ‘Jurassic Park’ (1993) and ‘The Lost World’ (1997), heightens the suspense.  After over thirty years, Koepp returns to the franchise with this movie, bringing with it the tension and tone that fans have grown accustomed to.

When Jurassic World: Rebirth explodes into theatres in July, it promises to be an engrossing cinematic experience, full of action, intrigue, and larger-than-life creatures.
