Justin Bieber’s Got A Gift For Us!

New music from Justin Bieber might be right around the corner! This has caused a frenzy on social media, unsurprisingly. The international singer, who has been teasing his new album, announced that he will be dropping new music in January, 2020. He shared a picture with the writing “2020” on his social media account with three dates. He did reveal something though- new songs as his long-awaited follow-up to 2015’s Purpose – maybe in store for December 24th, December 31st and January 3rd.

The ‘Let Me Love You’ singer captioned the cryptic Instagram post of the year 2020 spelled out on a black background, possibly hinting that new music could drop on the evening of Jan. 3rd or at midnight the following day.

Back in October, Bieber shared a post on Instagram telling his 122 million Instagram followers that if he garnered 20 million likes on just one post, he would drop a new album before Christmas. The post has since been removed, but clearly the likes added up since the ‘Sorry’ singer has hit up his feed now, though the exact date seems to have been pushed back until after the new year. So, this is hardly the first time, the pop star has sent his Beliebers into a frenzy over what’s coming down the pipeline in recent months.

While the announcement has left Justin’s fans counting down the days to the release, it’s left Selenators furious because the singer is releasing his music around the same time as Selena has planned to release her new album ‘Rare’. Selena recently announced that she will be taking over January with the new album. Now, as Justin announced his line up for Jan, Selena fans are accusing the singer of stealing Selena’s spotlight and began using the hashtag “#JanuarybelongstoRARE” to stand by Selena. Oops, seems like controversy has to follow and the two stars’ history just adds up to the mix.

But, whenever it does arrive, the album will be the singer’s follow-up to recent collaborations with the likes of Dan + Shay (‘10,000 Hours’), Billie Eilish (‘Bad Guy’) and Ed Sheeran (‘I Don’t Care’). Earlier in March, Justin announced a hiatus from music to deal with some “deep rooted issues” but he promised his fans that he’d come back better than ever. Looks like he’s ready for the comeback and so are we!
