Katy Perry Has Delivered A Baby Girl, Daisy Dove Bloom
Katy Perry has delivered her baby, finally! Orlando Bloom and the ‘Firework‘ singer welcome home their first child, Daisy Dove Bloom today. The news does not come via them but through UNICEF as they’re the Goodwill Ambassadors of the organisation.
UNICEF shared the news which stated, “We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter.” The couple chose to announce the birth of their child via the organisation only to create a donation page for pregnant women.
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom claim to have had a very peaceful experience of delivering Daisy. However, they want to spread awareness among people about how difficult it’s for pregnant women due to the lack of healthcare facilities, especially during Covid-19 times.
Katy Perry mentioned, “But we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was. Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes.”
The singer continued, “Since COVID-19, many more newborn lives are at risk because of a greater lack of access to water, soap, vaccines and medicines that prevent diseases. As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever.”
“As UNICEF Goodwill Ambassadors, we know UNICEF is there, on the ground, doing whatever it takes to make sure every expecting mother has access to a trained health worker and access to quality healthcare.” Katy Perry explained further.
Katy Perry concluded by saying, “In celebration of the heart we know our daughter already has, we have set up a donation page… By supporting UNICEF, you are supporting a safe start to life and re imagining a healthier world for every child.”
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s Pregnancy Journey
The first time mom, Katy Perry announced that she was expecting in early March. Fans couldn’t be happier when she was seen cradling her baby bump in ‘Never Worn White’ music video. And, soon after that, she revelled that Orlando Bloom and her were expecting a baby girl. The couple is engaged and now are a family of three, which is certainly a blessing.
