Katy Perry Hinted That She’ll Be Starting Work on Her New Album Soon

Katy Perry brought ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’ to the location of her Las Vegas residency and disclosed her intentions for new songs in the process.

The topic came up when the pop star spoke candidly with the host, Drew Barrymore, about the contrast between her private life and the performance she puts on in Las Vegas. She said there is an on-stage persona, and that she saves up a lot of energy to dial it up on stage. She mentioned that she really loves the show that she puts on and it brings her a lot of joy. Once her residency in Las Vegas is over, she may perhaps pursue a global tour.

The American Idol judge’s sixth studio album, ‘Smile’ which was released in the summer of 2020 and featured the singles ‘Daisies,’ ‘Smile’ and ‘Not the End of the World,’ as well as her 2019 stand-alone tracks ‘Never Really Over’ and ‘Harleys in Hawaii,’ would be followed by a new album, even though Perry has been intermittently performing on the Las Vegas Strip since December 2021.
