Katy Perry Spills New Lyrics on Instagram

The past few weeks have blessed us with so much new music and now, adding to this mix is yet another pop princess. It’s none other than Katy Perry. The star recently took to Instagram to put up a picture, showing off her growing baby bump. Oh but here’s the best part, Katy captioned the post with what appears to be song lyrics…

For starters, in this picture she looks simply stunning. Katy stands in a dress, full of bright gradients, a cozy shawl wrapped around her shoulder. Absolutely blissful, she looks on at the sandy mounds in the distance. Honestly, who is taking these exceptionally cinematic shots? If it’s Orlando, he should really think of a career behind the camera. 

Anyway, back to the point. Below this lovely picture, Katy captioned the post with the following lines:

i’ve got to shed all this skin 

if I want the distance 

let the sun in 

 pull out the weeds 

and focus my vision

As expected, fans are simply bubbling with theories. The most plausible one being that these are song lyrics for an upcoming single.

Is Katy Perry Gearing up for ‘KP5’?

Katy is no rookie when it comes to leaving behind hints and surprising fans. In fact, even the way she announced her pregnancy was rather creative. Upon the release of her aesthetically pleasing video, ‘Never Worn White’, the world was buzzing with talk of her pregnancy and not long after, she confirmed it.

The first single to come out of Katy Perry’s upcoming album, ‘KP5‘ was none other than ‘Daisies‘. A syrupy sweet, uplifting tune that showcased Katy’s stellar vocals, ‘Daisies’ also arrived with its very own music video. It featured the star traversing through different landscapes, from fields full of daisies to rocky hill tops. 

So, for now, we’ve just got to keep our fingers crossed in the hopes that Katy will arrive with something just as beautiful.
