Kelly Clarkson and Ariana Grande aren't just friends and collaborators, but also worked on ‘The Voice’ together, as judges. They recently released ‘Santa, Can’t You Hear Me’. The live recording was initially recorded for Kelly’s 2021 holiday album.
This version of 'Santa, Can’t You Hear Me' is a follow up to the studio recording featured on Clarkson’s album ‘When Christmas Comes Around…’, released in October 2021. It peaked at No. 22 on the Billboard 200. The project marked the three-time Grammy winner’s second holiday record, following 2013’s ‘Wrapped In Red’.
Following the release of the album, Clarkson invited Grande to perform the track with her during her NBC holiday music special, where Clarkson did multiple performances. Amy Poehler, Leslie Odom Jr., Jay Leno, Melissa McCarthy and Brett Eldredge were some of the featured guests.
Last year, Grande and Clarkson performed a duet while dressed to the nines in magnificent purple and white gowns and were accompanied by a glittering orchestra of string players, backup vocalists, percussionists and brass.
