Kelly Clarkson Serves Up Holiday Sisterhood in ‘White Christmas’ ‘Kellyoke’

Lord, help the mister who comes between me and my sister! Kelly Clarkson, an American singer, songwriter, author and television personality, paid tribute to ‘White Christmas’, a holiday classic with a ‘Kellyoke’ cover of ‘Sisters.’ The famous talk show host recreated the scene made famous by Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen in the 1954 musical with her backup singer, Jessi Collins.

“Sisters, sisters, there were never such devoted sisters/ Never had to have a chaperone, no sir/ I’m here to keep my eye on her/ Caring, sharing, every little thing that we are wearing/ When a certain gentleman arrived from Rome/ She wore the dress, and I stayed home,” the two sang together.

Halfway into the performance, two male members of Clarkson’s band, Y’All  stole the fans from Clarkson and Collins to dance around and lip sync, similar to Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye in the movie. After this, all four of them performed a soft-shoe choreography and brought the piece to an end.

As the holiday season is approaching, Kelly Clarkson is performing all Christmas songs she likes, no matter whether they belong to her or not. She has been performing songs like ‘Merry Christmas (To The One I Used to Know), ‘Christmas Isn’t Cancelled (Just You)’, ‘Santa Can’t You Hear Me’, and a cover of ‘I’ll be Home For Christmas’. She is also set to return to the set of ‘The Voice’ for the ninth season as a coach after not having done the last season.
