If you’ve been thinking, “Hmm, I wonder what Kelly’s been up to these days?” Well, she’s back with a bang!
Kelly Clarkson is all set to host the Billboard Music Awards this year, making this her running streak for the third time in a row. The all-American sweetheart and daytime talk show host will be taking the big show to the airwaves on April 29 at 8 p.m. ET/PT live from Las Vegas. What you can expect is 2020’s most sensational musical acts, peaking collaborations, and Insta-worthy moments in a three-hour extravaganza.
Kelly was quoted in a response to this news saying “I’m thrilled to be back with my Billboard family.” She was definitely thrilled as she went on “I love being part of an event that celebrates our greatest artists and entertains our fans. This a night of music that you won’t want to miss!”
In this endeavour, she is joined by her power team – Barry Adelman, Mark Bracco, Robert Deaton and Amy Thurlow.
The stats from last year showed that the Billboard Music Awards from 2019 were a hit and a chunk of this credit can easily be bestowed on Kelly for bringing her personal touch to the events of the evening. It was noted by Nielsens that the 2019 BBMA averaged a 2.1 rating in 18-49 and 8.0 million viewers.
This puts Kelly in the league of Kathy Griffin who was the last BBMA host to go on to do a three strike job of yearly hosting from 1998-2000.
Well, we can’t wait to see her take the stage once more!
