Let’s take you through a few iconic moments by the songstress as we celebrate her musical journey, gifting us with some of the best, most soulful music in the world.

Awards? No Problem
Back in 2002, Alicia Keys joined Lauryn Hill as the most awarded female artist in one night at the Grammys, winning 4 awards – Best New Artist, Song of the Year, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song. This was a tremendous achievement for the powerhouse singer as she had just debuted in a competitive music industry, churning out back-to-back hits.

Belly Full of Fire!
Pregnancies are typically a time for “to be moms” to relax and rest but that doesn’t seem to be the way for Alicia. The rockstar “to be Mom” jumped on top of a piano and sang a tribute to pop legend Prince while he was sitting right there, witness to the glorious spectacle. Talk about a guide book to motherhood. Who needs the couch? Just rock out!

Keys is on Fleek!
As a part of the celebration for Obama’s inauguration in 2013, Keys performed her hit single ‘This Girl is on Fire’ but changed the lyrics to ‘Obama’s on Fire’, with a coy Michelle mention, too! Possibly one of the best presidential performances till date! Definitely don’t disagree with the performer’s musical prowess.

Hostess with the Mostest
Can we also talk about all that delightful female energy we all felt when Alicia took the stage with Lady Gaga, Jada Pinkett Smith, Michelle Obama, and Jennifer Lopez joining to talk about the ways music has influenced their lives on the 61st Grammy Awards. It wasn’t just the sheer power each of those women radiated in that moment that captured us all, but the grace, kindness and honesty with which Alicia conducted herself with that entire night!
