Kihyun of MONSTA X has Released Teasers for his Impending Solo Debut

Kihyun, the lead singer of MONSTA X, will release his first solo album next month. Starship Entertainment debuted a new official logo for the artist on YouTube over the weekend, followed by a teaser image for his next single album. The project, dubbed ‘Voyager,’ is expected to debut on March 15 at 6 p.m. KST.

Kihyun’s future project will be his first non-OST solo release. The singer has previously appeared on the soundtracks of popular Korean dramas such as ‘What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim’ and ‘Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol’.

MONSTA X released ‘The Dreaming,’ their sophomore English-language studio album, in December, coupled with a lively music video for the album’s lead single ‘You Problem.’ That album released only three weeks after their tenth Korean mini-album, ‘No Limit,’ which featured the title single ‘Rush Hour.’

The boyband also debuted their first-ever feature film in conjunction with the release of ‘The Dreaming.’ Monsta X: The Dreaming debuted in South Korea on December 8 before expanding to theatres throughout the world on December 9 and 11.

MONSTA X announced last month that their upcoming North American ‘No Limit’ tour would be postponed for four months. The decision to reschedule the group’s concerts, which were originally scheduled to begin in late January, was made “with the safety of fans, musicians, and crew as our main priority,” according to Starship Entertainment.

“We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience,” it continued. “We are excited for the MONSTA X ‘No Limit’ US Tour in 2022 and can’t wait to share a fantastic performance with you.”
