Kim Kardashian Opens Up About Ex Kris Humphries and Engagement Ring

Kim Kardashian’s brief marriage to Kris Humphries may leave her with one regret.
During the episode of ‘The Kardashians’, the creator of SKIMS, who was married to the former NBA player for just 72 days in 2011, focused on the engagement ring he gave her. But as she noted, she really paid for the ring primarily on her own.
Kim, 44, referred to her next ring as her “last and final hoorah” and pondered its design when speaking with her sister Khloé Kardashian. As a result, she reflected on her three engagement rings throughout the years.
During her four-year marriage to Damon Thomas, she received a 14-karat cushion-cut ring as her first gift. Lorraine Schwartz’s 18-karat emerald-cut ring was the second, and it came from Humphries.

Kim said that she didn’t keep the ring from Humphries, stating that he demanded that she give it back as part of their divorce agreement when she was still married to him and expecting their daughter North West. The fact that she had paid for the majority of the ring while Humphries had only contributed roughly a fifth of the total cost only served to exacerbate her frustration.
Chris Appleton, her friend and hairstylist, called the revelation “savage,” but Schwartz persuaded Kim that returning the ring was for the best. Kim said that she would have liked to have it as a piece of her collection.
Kim has rarely discussed her brief marriage to Humphries, but after Khloé reconciled with her ex-husband Lamar Odom, she recently made a joke about contacting him. Kim asked jokingly if she should call Humphries while talking about it with her sister and their mother, Kris Jenner. In response, Khloé proposed that they gather all of their ex-husbands.

Kim contemplated her marriage to Humphries in 2021 and acknowledged that she felt compelled to carry out the wedding as it was being filmed for ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’. She remembered feeling imprisoned by the thought of being termed a “runaway bride” and persuading herself that it was only cold feet.
In retrospect, she acknowledged that she did not handle the breakup well and thought she should apologise to Humphries. She said that she had learned a lot from the experience and had been too anxious to wrap things up properly.
