Kit Harington: ‘Game of Thrones’ Star Battles a Volcano in Roman Action Epic ‘Pompeii’

The ‘Game of Thrones’ star Kit Harington’s film ‘The Beast Within’ has been popular on streaming services recently, but a new site has just released one of his previous films. Harington and Kiefer Sutherland co-star in the Roman action epic ‘Pompeii’, which centres on a gladiator slave who must race against a volcano disaster to save his true love from a powerful Roman senator. 

Along with other acquisitions like ‘The Scorpion King’, which is renowned for its early computer-generated imagery, this movie joined Netflix’s collection at the beginning of the month. ‘Pompeii’ has dismal ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, with 27% from reviewers and 34% from viewers, despite having an all-star cast that includes Jared Harris, Emily Browning, and Jean-Francois Lachapelle.

Paul W.S. Anderson directed ‘Pompeii’, while Lee and Janet Scott Batchler, who wrote the screenplay for ‘Batman Forever’, wrote the screenplay. ‘The House of the Dead’ and ‘In the Lost Land’ will be directed by Anderson, who is well renowned for ‘Monster Hunter’ and ‘Death Race’. 

Meanwhile, other movies, such as ‘Time Cut’, which stars Madison Bailey from ‘Outer Banks’, and the horror thriller ‘Don’t Move’, have been at the top of Netflix’s streaming lists. Additionally, two of Netflix’s highest-ranked films include ‘Bad Boys: Ride or Die’ and ‘Woman of the Hour’, which was directed by Anna Kendrick.
