Kylie Jenner, The First Woman to Reach 300 Million on Instagram
The Queen of Instagram, Kylie Jenner becomes the first woman to reach 300 million followers on Instagram. This makes her only the second person after Cristiano Ronaldo (388 million) to reach such a high follower count.
Previously, Ariana Grande took the top spot as one of the most- followed women on Instagram. Grande beat out Selena Gomez, who had earned the most- followed spot. Jenner made the social media milestone despite keeping a relatively low profile on Instagram for the past two months.
She is expecting her second child with rapper Travis Scott, who took some time away from social media after 10 concert goers died at Scott’s Astroworld Festival show in Houston on 5th November. Jenner returned to Instagram on Christmas Eve with a throwback picture of her mother, Kris Jenner.
Kylie Jenner previously held the record for the most-liked picture on Instagram. The picture, which featured her daughter Stormi, has racked up over 18.3 million ‘likes’ since being shared in 2018. In early 2019, however, Kylie lost the world record of having the most ‘liked’ photo to a picture of an egg. Kylie had been promoting her brands and sharing snippets of her life on the social media platform in recent years.
