Lady Gaga and DaBaby Fight for UK Chart Honours

Lady Gaga is close to tasting the greatness of having a UK chart double. But, achieving the feat isn’t that simple. Gaga faces stiff competition from rapper DaBaby and his hit single “Rockstar“, featuring Roddy Ricch. The track has managed a narrow lead ahead of Gaga and Ariana Grande’s single “Rain On Me” on the UK Singles Chart.

Lady Gaga scored big last week, as her album “Chromatica” saw the biggest opening week from any artist on the UK albums chart, this year. The singer charted various songs from the full length studio album, including B-Sides like “Alice”, and leading singles “Rain on Me” and “Sour Candy”, proving its magnanimity.

The UK Chart double will be awarded to whoever has the cumulative highest of streams and downloads. And while DaBaby leads in number of streams by a narrow margin, Lady Gaga has the upper hand in terms of downloads. Gaga and Grande’s collaborative track “Rain On Me” has performed exceedingly well on charts worldwide, claiming no. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 last week.

DaBaby and Roddy Ricch sit comfortably atop the Official Singles Chart, claiming No. 1 with their track “Rockstar”. The track has amassed its highest weekly numbers yet, totalling over 64,000 chart sales and 8 million streams.

Lady Gaga and DaBaby are in a race that will see results this Friday, local UK time.
