Lady Gaga Announces Release Date For First Single From Her Upcoming 7th Album During Venice Film Festival
Amidst her promotion for her leading role as Harleen “Lee” Quinzel, also known as Harley Quinn, in ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ at the Venice Film Festival, Lady Gaga has announced exciting news for her fans. The Grammy and Oscar winner took to Instagram to reveal the release date for the first single from her forthcoming seventh album.
In a recent post, Gaga shared a glimpse of her festival itinerary, which included a series of events such as a welcome dinner, the world premiere screening of the Joker sequel, a press conference, red carpet appearances, and a European press junket.

According to her schedule, while ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’—featuring Joaquin Phoenix in the titular role—is set to hit theatres on October 4, Gaga’s new single is expected to drop sometime in the same month.
Previously, Gaga had hinted at her new album by sharing a brief snippet of a song during her ‘Gaga Chromatica Ball’ special, which aired on HBO. Additionally, she played several audio tracks for fans outside her hotel during the 2024 Paris Olympics, generating further excitement for her upcoming music.

In the lead-up to this release, Gaga also collaborated with Bruno Mars on the romantic soft rock ballad “Die with a Smile,” which has achieved significant success, reaching No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Reflecting on the collaboration, Gaga expressed her admiration for Mars, stating, “Bruno and I have a lot of mutual respect for each other and were talking about collaborating.”
She described their late-night studio session in Malibu as transformative, praising Mars’s exceptional talent and musicianship. “Bruno’s talent is beyond explanation. His musicianship and vision are next level. There’s no one like him,” Gaga added.
