Lady Gaga has fans on edge with the teaser for her new single ‘Disease’. The pop star recently shared a haunting clip on Instagram, teasing the lead track from her highly anticipated seventh album, LG7.
The short video shows a dark-haired Gaga sprinting through suburban streets in a white dress, being chased by a car.
The perspective places the audience inside the car, heightening the suspense. Accompanied by ominous piano notes and percussion, the teaser gives a chilling glimpse of what’s to come. Gaga simply captioned the post with ‘DISEASE’ and the release date, building anticipation for the new era in her music.
This release marks the first offering from her new album, following the excitement around her recent projects. Earlier, the 13-time Grammy winner released ‘Harlequin’, a companion album to ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’.
The record, which largely consists of covers alongside two original tracks, was co-executive produced by Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky. The couple also collaborated as co-writers on several songs, adding a personal touch to the album.
‘Harlequin’ debuted at No. 20 on the Billboard 200, topping the jazz charts and further showcasing Gaga’s versatility. However, fans are eager for the shift back to her signature pop style with ‘Disease’. The teaser follows a previous Instagram post where Gaga revealed the song’s release date with a striking poster.
In the image, she leans over the hood of a car in the same white dress, suggesting an intense, dramatic narrative. Gaga also shared that her forthcoming album was inspired by Polansky, who played a significant role in its creation, further deepening fan curiosity about what this new project will bring.
