Lamorne Morris Asks Robert Downey Jr. to 'Please Sign' His Emmys Poster After 2024 Win

The actor won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, making a memorable speech at the 2024 awards. 

He started by expressing gratitude to God and his mother, whom he lovingly credited as his greatest supporter.

"I want to thank God for allowing me to be here and for my beautiful mother, who has been my biggest champion," he said, adding a humorous note about his birth. He continued by acknowledging key figures in his career, including FX, his cast, and management team. 

"To my fellow nominees and Robert Downey Jr., I have a poster of you at my house—please sign it, seriously," he said, showing his admiration and enthusiasm. He also extended thanks to John Landgraf and Noah Hawley, praising the exceptional cast and the trust they placed in him.

In a heartfelt conclusion, he expressed love for his friends and family, mentioning, "If you have my number, that means I love you." 

He also made a playful promise to thank everyone he missed in a future podcast episode. Lastly, he gave a special shoutout to his 4-year-old daughter Lily, saying, "I told you I would do it, you always doubted me," adding a personal touch to his emotional speech.
