Lana Del Rey Live Debuts ‘Ocean Blvd’ Songs at First Concert in More Than Three Years

At the MITA Festival 2023 in Rio de Janeiro, Lana Del Rey made her first live appearance in more than three years.

The alternative-pop princess debuted a number of songs from her most recent album, ‘Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd’, live during her headlining concert, including the set opener ‘A&W,’ ‘Candy Necklace,’ ‘The Grants’ and the album’s title tune.

The ninth album by Del Rey, ‘Ocean Blvd’, debuted on the Billboard 200 albums list at No. 3. Jon Batiste, Bleachers, Father John Misty, Judah Smith, Tommy Genesis and SYML all made cameos on the 16-song collection.

The singer gave debut performances of ‘Arcadia’ (from 2021’s Blue Bannisters) and ‘Flipside’ (from 2014’s Ultraviolence) at the Brazilian music festival.

Del Rey performed for the first time since November 2019 at the MITA Festival. Since then, she has made appearances on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ and ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’, as well as onstage with Bleachers at High Water Festival in 2023.

In 2023, the Billboard Women in Music honoured Del Rey with the Visionary Award. The singer stated that she was pleased with how things were going during a prior speech at the annual ceremony in early March.

“I don’t exactly have a long-term vision at all, but if you were curious, I am very, very happy,” Del Rey said during her speech. “When I released my first album 14 years ago, the waters were not quite as warm. I’m really happy for everyone who feels like it’s a wonderful time in the culture to be themselves and express themselves. It didn’t feel that way in 2008.”
