Leonardo DiCaprio Praises ‘One Battle After Another’ as an ‘Incredibly Epic’ Film

Having worked with some of the most well-known filmmakers of his time, Leonardo DiCaprio’s most recent project is ‘One Battle After Another’, which he describes as a large-scale, ambitious production, starring him and Paul Thomas Anderson.
The 50-year-old DiCaprio recently discussed the movie during Warner Bros.’s discussion at CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas. As one of the most unique directors of this era, he acknowledged his long-standing respect for Anderson, whose films include ‘Boogie Nights’, ‘There Will Be Blood’, and ‘Licorice Pizza’, and that he had been anxious to work with him for almost 20 years.
Benicio del Toro, Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, Chase Infiniti, and Alana Haim are among the movie’s ensemble cast members. Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel ‘Vineland’ is said to have inspired this dark comedy, which centers on a group of former revolutionaries who reunite after 16 years when their old enemy reappears and forces them to work together to save one of their daughters.

Speaking at CinemaCon, DiCaprio commended Anderson’s method of working with actors and underlined the epic scope of the movie. Anderson permits improvisation, which DiCaprio views as a privilege, in contrast to many writer-directors who strictly adhere to their scripts.
Teyana Taylor and Regina Hall also spoke about the film on stage. Hall highlighted the powerful performances and characterized it as a blend of poignant emotions and fun. She is portrayed by Taylor as a misunderstood character who is always in survival mode and has a selfish streak that gives her personality dimension.
DiCaprio just debuted the trailer on his personal YouTube profile in advance of the movie’s premiere. He announced the trailer’s release on Instagram and urged followers to subscribe in order to receive updates on his next ventures.
CinemaCon 2025 will take place till 3rd April, while ‘One Battle After Another’ will be released in theaters on 26th September.
