Leonardo DiCaprio’s ‘One Battle After Another’ Drops First Trailer

The first trailer for Leonardo DiCaprio’s most recent movie, ‘One Battle After Another’, has been made public.  The film, which was directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, is DiCaprio’s first major part since Martin Scorsese’s 2023 historical epic ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’, which was nominated for ten Oscars.

Although the entire narrative is yet unknown, Vineland by Thomas Pynchon is said to have impacted the fiction.  DiCaprio plays Bob Ferguson in the teaser, a disorganized but tenacious revolutionary who is striving to preserve his daughter.  The story begins with Bob, wearing a bathrobe and beanie, calling other rebels for help over a pay phone but forgetting the codewords.

As Bob’s mentor, Benicio del Toro also makes an appearance, telling him to live fearlessly and physically shoving him out of a speeding car.  “Viva la revolución” is yelled enthusiastically by DiCaprio’s character as he and del Toro prepare for combat in the trailer’s closing moments.

With a stellar ensemble that includes Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, and Chase Infiniti, the movie is scheduled to open in theaters on 25th September.  The teaser has sparked a fervent response from fans, who have hailed the movie as an immediate classic and predicted Anderson will win Oscars.  It was called “the greatest movie I have yet to see” by one social media user.

Licorice Pizza garnered nominations for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay, giving Anderson, who wrote and directed the movie, 11 Oscar nominations overall.

In other news, DiCaprio and Scorsese might soon work together once more on the eagerly awaited ‘Devil in the White City’ movie adaptation. Scorsese is reportedly in talks to direct, and both actors may be engaged as producers.
