‘Nosferatu’ is described as a gothic story of “obsession, love, seduction, and fear,” set in the 1800s. The film will follow the classic narrative of Dracula, centring on Thomas Hutter, who is sent to assist a castle owner with some paperwork for a new home. Unbeknownst to him, this new residence is next door to his own, and he gradually suspects that his client, Count Orlok, might be a vampire. The tension escalates when Count Orlok becomes infatuated with Hutter’s wife, Ellen, leading the couple to find a way to eliminate the vampire before it’s too late.

Eggers, known for his mastery of dark, historical narratives, is expected to bring a fresh perspective to this iconic story. Skarsgård, who plays Count Orlok, has hinted at his character’s dual nature, describing him as both repulsive and sexually charged, aiming to evoke both attraction and disgust in viewers.
