Linkin Park have unveiled their latest single, ‘Heavy Is The Crown,’ while adding new dates to their 2024 ‘From Zero’ world tour. The track made its live debut in Germany on 22nd September, becoming the second release from their highly anticipated comeback album, From Zero, which drops on 15th November. Serving as the official anthem for the 2024 League of Legends World Championship, the song marks the band’s first collaboration with Riot Games.
Following the lead single, ‘The Emptiness Machine,’ this is Linkin Park’s first new material in seven years after their surprise return. ‘Heavy is The Crown’ also recently premiered on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Earlier this month, Mike Shinoda, turntablist Joe Hahn, guitarist Brad Delson, and bassist Dave ‘Phoenix’ Farrell reunited after seven years, following the tragic passing of vocalist Chester Bennington. Former Dead Sara singer Emily Armstrong has now stepped in as lead vocalist, while Colin Brittain has replaced founding drummer Rob Bourdon.
On 24th September, Linkin Park performed at London’s O2 as part of their six-date arena tour for the From Zero World Tour. After tickets sold out in minutes, the band announced three additional stadium shows for 2024, with stops in Paris, Dallas, and São Paulo.
At their reunion tour’s opening show, Shinoda emphasized that this new version of Linkin Park isn’t about “erasing the past.” Speaking to the crowd at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, he shared that playing for new fans who have never seen them live is a big reason for their return.

“We are thrilled to be back out here. It is not about erasing the past – it is about starting this new chapter into the future, and coming out here for each and every one of you,” Shinoda continued.
However, the new line-up has faced some criticism. Chester Bennington’s mother has expressed feeling “betrayed” by the changes, a sentiment echoed by Bennington’s son Jaime, who accused Shinoda of “betraying the trust” of Linkin Park’s fanbase.
