Sigrid and Bring Me The Horizon have teamed
up for a new song, 'Bad Life'. On 14th April, Sigrid previewed
the collaboration on TikTok, uploading a behind-the-scenes footage with BMTH
vocalist Oli Sykes. The video was put to an audio snippet of the upcoming
track, with the duo singing "It's just a bad day/ Not a bad
life." It's the hardcore band's first work with the Norwegian
singer-songwriter.
Sigrid said she is so excited and proud about ‘Bad Life’ being out in the world with BMTH. She hopes for it to be a source of comfort.

She admits that it might not be the most likely collab, but they’ve
been fans of each other for a long time and they’re so elated that they were
able to team up for this track. According to her, filming the music video was a
spectacular and absurd experience!
Sigrid says that the track narrates the story of when life get
tough and it can seem like the misery never ceases.
Sykes and Jordan penned down this single during the lockdown.
Sykes said that when they got to know that Sigrid was a fan, they agreed that
it would suit her perfectly. However, initially she was hesitant as she felt
like it was such a unique record. When Sigrid expressed her interest in teaming
up with her on the single, everything fell in place.
Talking about the accompanying music video, director Raja Verdi said that the idea for this one-shot film was to throw some light onto the themes of experiencing the storms of life in order to finally bask in glory- life is definitely a mix of ups and downs.

The track is the most recent in BMTH's string of
collaborations. The band was featured on the Masked Wolf track 'Fallout'
earlier this month, while the release of 'Maybe' in March marked another collab
with Machine Gun Kelly.
In March, Sigrid revealed that she will
be drooping a brand-new album, 'How To Let Go.' The second studio
album, due out on 6th May, is the follow-up to 2019's 'Sucker Punch.' The
musician has released three songs from the album: 'It Gets Dark,' 'Burning
Bridges,' and 'Mirror.'
