Lizzo is proof that Anything can happen

The pop superstar took to her Twitter on the eve of the New Year to motivate her fans and followers world over. The whole beginning of the decade vs. the end of the decade trend has been going on for a while now, but Lizzo’s glow up was real.

Comparing two photographs of herself – one in 2009 and the other of herself on the cover of TIME magazine as Entertainer of the Year, she wrote : “2009 was the year my daddy died. 2009 was the year I lived in my car & cried myself to sleep on Thanksgiving. 2019 is the year my album & song went #1. 2019 is the year I told my mama I can buy her a house. ”

The singer has always been open about the struggles of becoming the star she is today, and how hard she had to work to make her dreams come true. From waitressing to singing for no pay, and even being homeless, Lizzo’s road to fame has been anything but easy.

But, just like her music, her attitude has always been this: fight for what you believe in and keep working at it, and it will come true.

She ended the post by saying “Anything can happen in a decade. Tomorrow is the beginning of ur Anything”
