Lizzo Wishes Herself a Happy Birthday And Cheekily Threatens to Quit Music

Lizzo recently celebrated her birthday and took to social media to wish herself a happy birthday!

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZZO,” she wrote on Instagram with a video of herself blowing out the candles on a cake. The cake featured her face framed by thick gold icing. She also threatened her fans on TikTok saying, “IF 26.9 MILLION PEOPLE DON’T WISH ME HAPPY BIRTHDAY I’M QUITTING.”

Lizzo posted the same video on both Instagram and TikTok, but she used her own song ‘Birthday Girl’ for her video on TikTok. She gleefully sang, “Is it your birthday, girl?/ ‘Cause you lookin’ like a present.” She used this song to mark her birthday and the official start of the Taurus season in 2022. 

Many of her friends commented on her post. Chlöe Bailey wrote, “happy birthday beautiful!” Her younger sister, Halle Bailey along with the likes of Lil Nas X, Saucy Santana, Yara Shahidi and others filled Lizzo’s comments section with love. 

Lizzo celebrated her birthday on the roads this year because she is in the middle of a trek across North America in support of her album ‘Special’. She has brought up many relevant issues during this tour, designed a custom tattoo for a fan mid-show and danced in a bikini in front of the famous St. Louis Arch.
