Måneskin Debuted ‘Supermodel’ Electric Live at Eurovision 2022

On 14th May, Måneskin performed their new track ‘Supermodel’ live at the Eurovision Song Contest.

The Italian band had a tremendous year since winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 2021 with their song “Zitti E Buoni,” performing all over the world and announcing a large arena tour.

The band resurfaced this week with their new single ‘Supermodel,’ their first new music in 2022, and the track made its live debut at the half-time break at Eurovision in Turin last night.

Ukraine’s Kalush Orchestra won Eurovision 2022 with the song ‘Stefania,’ with Sam Ryder of the United Kingdom coming in second, the country’s best placing since 1997. Given the ongoing conflict with Russia, frontman Oleh Psiuk told NME this week that their participation was a “huge responsibility.”

He said that representing Ukraine in the international arena is always a responsibility but representing it during the war is the ultimate obligation.

Psiuk went on to explain that the song [‘Stefania’] was written and dedicated to his mother, but after the war, the song has taken on new meanings because many people perceive Ukraine as my mother. That is why the song has grown so popular with Ukrainians, and it is in their hearts.

Meanwhile, Måneskin will embark on a European tour in 2023, which will include a stop in London.
