Marvel’s 6-Hour ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Cast Reveal Leaves Fans Confused

Fans are both shocked and perplexed by Marvel's unusual strategy to reveal the ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ cast.

 Every twelve minutes, a new cast member's name is revealed by the studio via a livestream on its YouTube page and social media.  As fans rush to keep up with the constant announcements, this gradual rollout has generated a range of responses.

Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Letitia Wright as Shuri, Winston Duke as M'Baku, and Chris Hemsworth as Thor are among the returning cast members.  Recent additions to the MCU, like Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the Thing from ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’, Vanessa Kirby as the Invisible Woman, and Joseph Quinn as the Human Torch, are also part of the cast.

David Harbour as Red Guardian, Lewis Pullman as Bob, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, and Simu Liu as Shang-Chi are among the ‘Thunderbolts’ cast members who have already been confirmed.  Following an appearance in ‘The Marvels’ post-credits scene, Kelsey Grammer returns as Beast, and Tenoch Huerta Mejía reprises his role as Namor.

Sir Ian McKellen as Magneto and Sir Patrick Stewart as Professor Charles Xavier are among the other well-known actors who have been revealed.  Some fans, however, are annoyed by this drawn-out revelation procedure, claiming that it is spoiling ‘Thunderbolts’ by disclosing which characters will live.  Others have made fun of the announcement's lengthy runtime, with one fan mockingly saying, "Just post a list." Still others have questioned if the impending movie is even worth seeing at this point.  This is taking ages.

 More names are anticipated to be disclosed during the many hours that the webcast is scheduled to run.
