Reeves also confirmed that Colin Farrell’s Penguin will return in the sequel, with the upcoming HBO series ‘Penguin’ serving as a crucial link to the new film. The series is set to tie into ‘The Batman Part II’, connecting its themes to the film’s storyline.

Reeves explained that ‘Penguin’ will help bridge the gap between Batman’s new case and Gotham’s ongoing corruption, further integrating Farrell’s character into the film's universe. He hinted at a deeper dive into Gotham’s layers of corruption, stating, “It’s going to dig into the epic story about deeper corruption, and it goes into places that he couldn’t anticipate in the first one."

Building on the foundations of the first film, ‘The Batman Part II’ will continue to explore Batman’s character in unexpected ways.

The upcoming instalment is set to delve further into Batman’s battle against the dark forces in Gotham, taking the narrative in intriguing directions. As fans await the sequel, the Penguin series, premiering on Max, will develop Farrell's character and lay the groundwork for the next chapter of Reeves’ Bat-verse.
