‘Me and the Boys in the Band’ By Carly Rae Jepsen Is Here
Carly Rae Jepsen is back after a year! She’s dropped a brand new track, ‘Me and the Boys in the Band’, accompanied by a music video. The track is a tribute to her life on the road and her bandmates.
The song talks about how even if she’s having a bad day with her partner, at the end of the day, a conversation with her bandmates, brings her sanity. If you’re the type of person to take the long road out and travel on a whim, then this is the perfect jam for you. It’s also, an ode to dancing through it all!
The music video by Carly Rae Jepsen features the singer and her road crew but from their own respective homes. In the video, we see them perform the track and celebrating their fun-filled life.
Carly Rae Jackson took to her social media to announce the release of the track and the video, as well. She mentioned that the song has a different take on love, which she cooked up while being at home.
In a statement, Carly Rae Japsen mentions, “On the road. That was life. I miss travel and performing and my bandmates who over the years have become my adopted brothers. Through romantic relationships good and bad I have always found myself again in the late-night conversations with my band. Here’s to all the shows we have played and have yet to play. The late-night dancers we turn into on the long bus drives and the tourists we become in the early mornings. Here’s to nostalgia city and keeping close the ones that know you best. Can’t wait for more. Till then a from home ‘pick me up’ song from all of us to you. Me and the boys and the band!”
Jack Antonoff, Tavish Crowe, Jared Manerika, and Nik Pesut have helped in making ‘Me and the Boys and the Band’ track. And, Carley Rae Jepsen mentioned that she is thankful to them for bringing it all together during these crucial times.
Carly Rae Jepsen Is Killing It
In 2019 May, Carly Rae Jepsen released, “Dedicated Side B” which is a part of her studio album, “Dedicated” which features twelve tracks. The singer will also be celebrating the fifth anniversary of the “Emotion” album on August 27, 2020. She’s going to host a virtual karaoke party which will air on YouTube at 6:00 p.m EST. The celebration will feature her fans singing and dancing on songs from the album.
