Megan Thee Stallion Embraces Diss From Other Artists

Megan Thee Stallion isn’t bothered by her hip-hop peers making diss tracks about her. In fact, she views it as a sign that she’s doing something right.

In a recent Billboard cover story, the ‘Savage’ rapper expressed her thoughts on being the subject of lyrics from artists like Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Eminem. “I’m going to keep doing what I’m doing.

If people feel like I’m somebody to aim at, then I must be pretty high up if you’re reaching up at me. I must be some kind of competition,” she said. “That makes me feel good. That makes me feel like I could rap because if I wasn’t the s—, y’all wouldn’t be worried about me.”  Drake’s song ‘CircoLoco’ from a previous year seemed to reference the 2020 incident involving Tory Lanez and Megan, with Lanez being sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Eminem’s recent track ‘Houdini’ and Minaj’s ‘FTCU’ also touched on the incident, with Minaj rapping, “Stay in your Tory Lanez, bitch, I’m not Iggy.” In response, Megan released her own track ‘Hiss’, featuring the line, “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan / These h**s mad at Megan’s Law,” referencing Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty.

Minaj later released ‘Bigfoot’, seemingly addressing Megan’s diss. When asked about a potential reconciliation with Minaj, Megan admitted, “I still to this day don’t know what the problem is,” indicating she’s unsure of the origins of their feud.

Elsewhere in the interview, Megan revealed that she used to prioritise others’ feelings over her own but is now focusing on setting boundaries.
